Reducing Hangover Symptoms by Medical Professionals


Drink fruit juice. Fructose, which is a form of sugar in fruit juice, helps the body to eliminate alcohol in the body faster.
Drink bouillon broth. Your body loses salt and potassium when you drink; bouillon broth helps to replace the lost.
Drink water. Drink a good amount of water before going to bed and some more in the morning. This helps with dehydration, which alcohol causes.
Eat a light meal, if you can tolerate it. Stay away from fried foods or fats. Fruit, soup etc is easier from the body to hold down.
For a headache, a cold or cool towel on the head may help. Plus, for additional pain relief, acetaminophen, aspirin or ibuprofen helps as well.
Have some amino acids, since drinking causes vitamins and minerals to subside,  taking an amino acid capsule from a health store, eating eggs, fish or soy protein products for example, helps in repairing the damage brought on from a hangover.
